ในวันที่ 20 มกราคม 2567 คณะทำงาน Social Engagement มจธ.  นำโดย ผศ.นันทนา บุญลออ, อ.วิมนต์รัตน์ กฤษณเกรียงไกร คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์และการออกแบบ, ดร.นรชาติ วงศ์วันดี และ คุณ จตุภูมิ มีเสนา นักวิจัยศูนย์ส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนมูลนิธิโครงการหลวงและโครงการตามพระราชดำริ

เข้าร่วมงานประเพณี “อั้งบึ่งชั่ง” (บุญข้าวใหม่) ชุมชนกะเหรี่ยงห้วยกระซู่ จ.เพชรบุรี  ในหัวข้อ “อนาคตกะเหรี่ยงในผืนป่าแก่งกระจาน”

ภายในงาน คณะทำงานได้นำเสนอนิทรรศการซึ่งเป็นผลการศึกษาเรื่อง ความสัมพันธ์ของคุณภาพดิน การดูดซับคาร์บอน และข้อมูลทางวัฒนธรรมของชาวกะเหรี่ยงผ่านมุมมองการวิเคราะห์แบบสหวิทยาการ ปฏิฐานวิทยาแบบเชื่อมโยง ให้กับหน่วยงานในพื้นที่ สำนักงานอุทยานแห่งชาติแก่งกระจาน สำนักงานวัฒนธรรมจังหวัดเพชรบุรี เครือข่ายชาวกะเหรี่ยงตะนาวศรี และพี่น้องชาวกะเหรี่ยง  ในและนอกพื้นที่ 

ผู้เข้าร่วมงานให้ความสนใจในข้อมูลการศึกษามาก โดยในอนาคตจะเชิญคณะทำงานไปนำเสนองาน ณ ศูนย์มานุษยวิทยาสิรินธร (องค์การมหาชน) ร่วมกับเครือข่ายของชุมชน ในการทำงานระยะต่อไปคณะทำงานจะทำการขยายผลการศึกษาในลักษณะ “ตะนาวศรีศึกษา” เป็นการตีความเรื่องวัฒนธรรมชุมชนในมิติข้ามศาสตร์ ข้ามสายวิชา เพื่ออธิบายวัฒนธรรมและภูมิปัญญาในลักษณะสัญญะ ให้เข้าใจและสามารถสื่อสารได้ง่ายนำไปสู่การบันทึกข้อมูล สร้างฐานข้อมูลที่สำคัญของการทำงานร่วมกับชุมชนซึ่งนำไปสู่ความยั่งยืนต่อไป

On January 20, 2024, the KMUTT Social Engagement working group, under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Nanthana Bunla-or, Ajarn Wimonrat, and Kritsana Kriangkrai from the Faculty of Architecture and Design, along with Dr. Norachat Wongwandee and Mr. Chatuphum Meesena, researchers  with the Royal Project Foundation and King’s Recommended Project Supporting Center, KMUTT (RSC), actively participated in the traditional event "Ang Bueng Chang" (Bun Khao Mai) at the Huai Kra Su Karen Community in Phetchaburi Province. The theme of the event centered around "The Future of the Karen in the Kaeng Krachan Forest."

During the event, our working group showcased an exhibition that encapsulated the findings of our study on the soil quality, carbon adsorption, and cultural intricacies of the Karen people, approached through an interdisciplinary lens. We established connections with various entities in the region, including the Kaeng Krachan National Park Office, Phetchaburi Provincial Cultural Office, Tanintharyi Karen Network, and the Karen and Pga Knyaw communities both within and outside the area. The exhibition generated significant interest among participants, particularly in the educational information presented.

Looking ahead, our working group has been extended an invitation to showcase our work at the Sirindhorn Anthropology Center (Public Organization), alongside community networks. In the subsequent phase of our endeavors, we plan to broaden the dissemination of our study results. "Tanaosri Suksa" will serve as an interpretation of community culture in a cross-disciplinary, dimension to elucidate culture and wisdom in symbolic terms. This approach aims to facilitate easy understanding and communication, thereby contributing to data recording and the development of a vital collaborative database with communities for enhanced sustainability."
